One level, for example A1, consists of two courses (A1.1 and A1.2).
Our course system is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and is divided into 12 course levels (A1 (A1.1 + A1.2), A2 (A2.1 + A2.2), B1 (B1.1 + B1.2), B2 (B2.1 + B2.2), C1 (C1.1 + C1.2) and C2 (C2.1 + C2.2)). 👈

You can complete for example the level A1.1 in a 4-week intensive course, in a 8-week semi-intensive course or in a 12-week weekend course.
Example
You are an absolute beginner and want to complete level B1 (A1.1, A.1.2, A2.1, A2.2, B1.1, B1.2):
Intensive course: 6 months*
Semi-Intensive course: 12 months*
Weekend course: 24 months*
You can change the duration of your course with every new course level.
*This is an example based on the general duration of our courses. Whether you successfully complete a level in the scheduled time also depends on whether you attend the course regularly, for example. (Terms and Conditions DeutschAkademie)
