# How do the flashcards work?

In the vocabulary trainer and in „Schnell üben“, you learn with flashcards.

Here’s how:

1. The card shows a word in your translation language.
2. Think about what the word is in German.
3. Click the card. Now you see the German word.
4. Did you know the word? Click „Richtig“ (correct). If not, click „Falsch“ (wrong).

**Found a mistake?** Click the flag icon and report the mistake to us.

At the top of the card you can see the level and topic, e.g. „A1.1 · Familie“. The bar above it shows how many cards you have already completed.

**More information about the word**  
Click the info icon in the top right corner. There you’ll find more information, e.g. the article (gender) and plural for nouns.

**Add your own note**  
In the word information, you can write a note about the word, e.g. a memory aid or an example sentence. Your note is saved, and you’ll see it every time you practise the word.

💡**Good to know:**

In the vocabulary trainer, your answers decide when you review a word. So only click „Richtig“ if you really knew the word. In „Schnell üben“, your answers don’t affect your training.
