# How does reviewing work in the vocabulary trainer?

The vocabulary trainer adapts to your learning progress:

- If you don’t know a word well yet, you’ll see it again soon.
- If you review a word correctly, the gaps until the next review get bigger and bigger.

This way, you automatically focus on the words you still need to practise. You don’t have to plan anything. Just start your training with „Jetzt wiederholen“ (review now).

**Why does this work?**  
This method is called spaced repetition. Many studies show that you remember words better when you review them again and again instead of learning everything at once. This way, you build a stable vocabulary step by step.

**How often should I practise?**  
Ideally a few minutes every day. It’s better to practise briefly and regularly than rarely and for a long time.
